چکیده
Background and Objectives: The diagnosis of cholesteatoma is usually clinic, the only efficient treatment surgical. High-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) not considered absolutely necessary for management an uncomplicated cholesteatoma, but unsuspected situations from a clinical point view can be discovered using scans, warning surgeon. Our objective to compare HRCT scan information with intraoperative findings in patients analyze usefulness preoperative surgical view. Materials Methods: This prospective descriptive study conducted Department Otolaryngology, Victor Babes University Medicine Pharmacy Timisoara, Romania, May 2021 April 2022. It was carried out on 46 who were consequently operated our department. All received full audiological examinations. In all cases, performed preoperatively as mandatory investigation. Preoperative scans analyzed, their compared notes. two sets observations analyzed standard statistical methods. Results: Extensive most common type disease, involving 46% patients, followed by pars flaccida (35%) tensa (19%). Eroded scutum frequent lesion 70% incus erosion (67%). Comparison revealed very good correlation tegmen tympani erosion, sigmoid plate malleus moderate-to-good lateral semicircular canal stapes fallopian erosion. Conclusions: valuable tool assessment helping making decisions. accurately predict extent disease helpful detecting unapparent dangerous situations. However, it accurate

Computed Tomography Staging of Middle Ear Cholesteatoma
BACKGROUND To establish computed tomography (CT) staging of middle ear cholesteatoma and assess its impact on the selection of the surgical procedure. MATERIAL/METHODS Prospective study was conducted on 61 consecutive patients (mean age 26.8 years) with middle ear cholesteatoma. CT scan of the temporal bone and surgery were performed in all patients. CT staging classified cholesteatoma accord...
متن کاملUsefulness of Pre-operative High-resolution Computed Tomography in Middle Ear Cholesteatoma
Introduction: Cholesteatoma is traditionally diagnosed by otoscopic examination and treated by exploratory surgery. The need for imaging in an uncomplicated case is contentious. The study assesses the usefulness of a pre-operative high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) in depicting the status of middle ear structures in the presence of cholesteatoma. Aim: The aim of this study is to evaluat...

Short-term contracts have been deployed rapidly across Europe since the mid 90s. The objective of this paper is to investigate both theoretically and empirically the effects of short-term contracts on individual welfare. By comparing the economy pre and post-reforms, we study the evolution of firms’ and workers’ dynamics, we identify the determinants behind the firms’ decision to hire short-ter...
متن کاملHow much Requirements Engineering do we need?
As unambiguous and complete requirements specifications are not feasible in most cases, we investigate the question how much Requirements Engineering (RE) we actually need for the development of successful systems and products. Based on the notion of value of requirements, we discuss risk, shared understanding and customersupplier relationship as major influencing factors.

Modern technology is succeeding in delivering more information to people at ever faster rates. Under traditional views of rational decision making where individuals should evaluate and combine all available evidence, more information will yield better decisions. But our minds are designed to work in environments where information is often costly and difficult to obtain, leading us to use simple...
